Maths at St Mary's|
Maths at St Mary's is taught in line with the objectives from the National Curriculum. Teachers plan exciting and challenging lessons which allow all children to access maths and learn at their own level.
Wherever possible, maths is given a real life context whether his be working out change from the shop, reading and solving problems based around bus timetables or working what you will buy with your National Lottery win!! We strive to make the children realise just how much they will use maths in their everyday lives.
Above is a page filled with some very useful websites that can help at home.
The Calculation Policy sets out how we will teach addition, subtracton, multiplication and division strategies from Reception-Year 6. This document may help with any queries regarding homework (how we do it at school). If you have any questions please drop in to see your child's class teacher.
