Head Boy and Head Girl

Head Boy and Head Girl

Each year we choose two children to be our head girl and head boy.  This is a great honour and the announcement. The head girl and head boy are voted by the staff after a presentation where they tell staff and children why they would be a good candidate to represent the school and act as role models for other children.  Many things are taken into consideration when choosing our Head Girl and Head Boy, including attendance, thoughtfulness and care for others, attitude to learning, positivity and perseverance.  The head girl and head boy carry out a wide range of duties over the year including assemblies, showing visitors around our school and representing the school at events and special occasions.

Anti- Bullying Week

The School Council organised for children across school to wear odd socks to kick off Anti-Bullying Week. This was to show that we are all unique and we love each other for our differences.

They also organised a poster competition. Children across school had to design a poster to let others know what bullying is and what to do if they are being bullied or if they see this happening to anybody else.

As part of their role they also prepared and delivered an assembly about bullying, what bullying is and what to do if children see it happening or it is happening to them.

Delivering Baubles to the Local Care Home

Children across school made baubles for our Church - St. Mary's to give to parishioners during Lent. We also made some for our local care home, which the head boy and girl delivered personally. They were so pleased, and the baubles made their Christmas tree look very cheery!
