At St Mary’s, we use the Wednesday Word to strengthen the partnership between home, school and parish, recognising parents as the first educators of their children in faith. Each week, families are invited to share the Wednesday Word together, providing a simple opportunity to reflect on the Gospel, pray and discuss its message at home. This helps parents to participate in the prayer life of the school and supports children in developing their faith beyond the classroom. By sharing these moments together, we nurture a deeper understanding of God’s love and encourage children to grow as prayerful, thoughtful and compassionate members of our school community.
