To help with our 'Toys from the past' topic in History the children had the opportunity to visit a local museum 'The Beacon' to take part in a workshop where they learned about a variety of toys from the past, have a go at playing with them and then we compared olden day toys to the toys we play with today.
GEOGRAPHY: MAP DRAWING
During our 'Where we live' topic the children created compasses and learnt the directions of a compass and how a compass works. They then worked in pairs to use this knowledge to help them create sketch maps of our school. All of the children were fantastic and their compasses and maps are great!
