Information for Parents

As a parent you will know how important the internet is to children - they use it to learn, play, socialise and express themselves. It's a highly creative place of amazing opportunities. But, the technology children use every day can seem a bit daunting and you might worry about the risks your child can face online - such as bullying, contact from strangers or the possibility of them seeing illegal or inappropriate content on line.

At St. Mary's, we aim to help parents stay informed of all aspects of online safety and help equip you with the skills and information you need to ensure the online world is a safer place for you and your children.

On a monthly basis, you will receive an Online Safety Newsletter, which provides up-to-date information about the latest trends regarding online safety.

We highly recommend that parents create their own account with National Online Safety as it has a vast array of information and advice which is continually updated. If you need help with setting up this account, please find details on Seesaw / Tapestry or contact the school office.
