Admissions

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School has Voluntary Aided status, which means that the governing body [not the Local Authority] is responsible for admissions and decides who should be offered a place in line with its admissions policy.

Applying for a place in Nursery

Please complete the form below if you would like to apply for a place in the Nursery class.

 

If your child's third birthday falls between:

Your child will become eligible from:

1 January and 31 March

The start of the Summer Term (April)

1 April and 31 August

The start of the Autumn Term (September)

1 September and 31 December

The start of the Spring Term (January)

This form can also be used to apply for a place in other classes if, for example, your child needs to change schools due to a move into our catchment area.

 

Applying for a place in Reception

The governing body uses the Local Authority school places team to co-ordinate the admission of children to Reception class.

 

In order to apply for a place in this class in September 2023, please use the Cumbria County Council website or complete form SA1 which you can find using the link below.

 

For Reception class applications after 15th January 2023, please contact the Local Authority directly.

Faith

If you would like to apply for a place at St Mary’s School or Nursery class on the grounds of faith, please complete the supplementary form in addition to an application form.
