RE Lesson - British Values

In class today, we explored the definition of each of the British Values and how we promote them here at St. Mary's School. We worked in pairs to create a poster and then we presented it to the rest of the class.

The British Values are: The rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Democracy, Tolerance and Mutual Respect of those with Different Faiths and Beliefs.

The children engaged really well with this task and listened to each others' views about them. They worked very well together in groups.

Stewardship

The Year 5's RE unit is 'Stewardship.' We have been learning about how God created our beautiful world and how he made us all stewards of His earth. As part of our learning, we discussed ways in order to look after our world and how to become co-creators of it. We decided to tidy and care for the school grounds.

St. Mary's new library opening 2023

The children visited the brand new library today. They listened to a story read by Mrs. Davidson and they had a special treat of juice and biscuits afterwards. The children are very happy and love their new library!
