Online Safety Competition

PCSO Colette Harrison visited school to choose the winners of our Online Safety poster competition. The prizes went to Isabella and Laney, who were both awarded with vouchers to spend on Amazon.

Well done to the winners and everyone who entered the competition.

U Dance Cumbria 2023

A group of Year 3 & Year 5 children took part in U Dance Cumbria on Friday 10th March. They performed a routine to 'Spaceman' by Sam Ryder on stage at The Sands Centre, Carlisle and had a fantastic day with lots of other schools from across the county.

Everybody had great fun today playing wheelchair basketball with Nat and Jack from NP Inclusive Sport. We learned some new skills and scored lots of baskets.

We had a fun-filled World Book Day with children and staff dressing up as favourite story characters. The children took part in lots of activities including making fruit salad, manoeuvring BeeBots, making farm animal masks, baking chocolate cakes and junk modelling.

We celebrated National Storytelling Week and finished off with a fun day where we dressed up as book characters. The costumes were amazing and we had loads of fun! Mrs Davidson read 'Trust Me, Mum!' by Angela McAllister in assembly and the children helped with actions and sound effects. We even had a visit from a Very Hungry Caterpillar.

EYFS and KS 1 children performed the Nativity story in school and the KS 2 classes held a Carol Service in St Mary's Church. Lots of parents, family members and parishioners supported us by coming to see the services and all the children read and sang beautifully!

Halloween Bingo

Our Head Girl and Head Boy, Maya and Brody, were the Halloween Bingo callers this morning. The whole school played together over Zoom and there were lots of spooky prizes for the winners!

The Cumbria Music Service organised a visit from Graffiti Classics who performed Playground Proms for all the children, to introduce them to some amazing traditional tunes and classical music.

M&M Productions 'Snow White'

M&M Productions visited the school and performed an interactive version of the Snow White story - it was great fun!

We held lots of fun events to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, including an afternoon tea style lunch and a school fete.
