School Uniform

It is expected that the school uniform i.e. a royal blue sweatshirt or sweatshirt cardigan, dark grey trousers/skirt and white polo shirt is worn on all occasions. Pupils will be informed in advance if school uniform is not required e.g. on school outings or non-uniform days.

Sweatshirts, cardigans, fleece jackets and polo shirts may be purchased from our local supplier, Identity in Barrow in Furness, by registering for an account at www.oneidentity.co.uk or by obtaining an order form from the school office. During term time you can take advantage of free delivery to school and we will text you when your order arrives.

Alternatively you can also order uniform and outdoor PE kit from the My Clothing website at www.myclothing.com

During the summer term or whenever the weather is hot, blue checked summer dresses or smart grey shorts (not sportswear) are acceptable.

A change of clothing for Physical Education is expected. Indoor P.E. kit consists of a white tee-shirt, a pair of black shorts and gym pumps. Outdoor P.E. (Reception to Year 6 pupils) is a grey sweatshirt (no hood), plain black jogging pants and trainers. Please note that gym pumps are the only footwear allowed for indoor P.E. sessions due to Health & Safety regulations.

If your child has not learned to fasten their own laces, please make sure they wear Velcro fastening footwear only.

Jewellery

For health and safety reasons, the only jewellery allowed to be worn in school are small stud earrings and a wrist watch. Earrings and other items of jewellery can cause injuries and watches must be removed before P.E lessons. As a general rule, the Governors will not accept responsibility for damage to or loss of personal property, including clothing / jewellery, and the responsibility for safeguarding personal property rests with the owner.
